Professor Orsola De Marco (Macquarie): How Stars Die and Make UsProfessor Peter Tuthill (University of Sydney): Hot Stars are a Time-BombDr Nichole Barry (UNSW): From the Beginnings of the Universe to the Birth of the First Star. Dr Nichole Barry is a Scientia Lecturer at the University of New South Wales. She is working with some of the world's largest interferometers to measure some of the Universe's faintest signals by using sound analysis to perform a statistical reconstruction of the birth of the first stars.

Astronomy on Tap is an international network of astronomy outreach events in pubs and breweries, kicked off in New York in 2013 and now around the world. The Sydney branch is not the only Australian chapter - if you're down south, go see our friends at Astronomy on Tap Melbourne!Each free event features accessible, engaging presentations on space and science topics ranging from planets to black holes to galaxies to the beginning of the Universe, along with trivia, games, prizes, music, and other surprises! Presenters are typically from local research and educational institutions, but we also host visitor speakers with various backgrounds and roles as scientists, educators, artists, and more. There is always plenty of time to ask questions and interact with the presenters and other scientists who inevitably tag along for the fun.
